FAQ

Where will the session take place?

You can choose a location after your preference. Whether it is a park, at home, in the forest, at the beach or in the mountains. The best is, to choose a location your pet is familiar with. The more comfortable your pet is the better the images will be. However, please note that there will be a travel surcharge for locations outside a 30km radius of Stellenbosch.

Cat photo sessions are usually taking place at home or in your garden unless you specifically want to take your cat for a walk. However, this should be normal to your cat and not a new thing.

What if I want to go to more than one location?

No problem! We will plan everything thoroughly in your consultation which includes the choice of location as well as the amount of locations.

Do you only photograph dogs or also other pets?

As you can imagine the majority of clients are dogs. However, as you can see I have a passion for wildlife photography and therefore, are open to any kind of pet to photograph.

What if I have more than one pet?

No worries! If you want to create memories of all your pets we can do that! However, please keep in mind that every extra pet added will increase the challenge of capturing the right moment and things can get chaotic pretty quickly.

What if I/we want to be in the pictures as well?

As I am also specializing in children and family portraiture, I am more than happy to capture the special bond between you/your family/ your children and your pet. We will talk about that in our pre-consultation to make sure I can plan our shoot after your expectations.

What if the weather is bad on day of our shoot?

Don’t worry! We will arrange an alternative date in our first consultation in case of the event of bad weather conditions at our first arranged date.

What if I need to postpone my photo session?

As life can sometimes interfere with our plans I have a fully understanding of that, however, if this case occurs it is best to let me know as soon as possible so we can plan around that. If this, however, happens multiple times, there will be additional session fees.

My dog can’t go off-leash but I don’t want the leash to be in the photos, is this possible?

No worry, during the shoot we will try our best to hide the leash. Thanks to Photoshop we have the ability to remove the leash in postproduction in any images in which they are visible.

My dog does not have much more time left, can I schedule right away?

Elderly/Ill dogs have high priority while scheduling a shoot as time is running out. I will do my best to find a day for your as soon as possible.

My dog is not well-trained, will this be a problem?

Basic skills and/or fun tricks obviously help to broaden the range of images we can produce, however, it is not compulsory. We can often work around that with quite a few tips and tricks which I will provide you with in our consultation.
