Animals have a very special place in my heart. You might wonder why adopt an animal if you could simply buy one?

Here are some reasons why and how it benefits you and so many other animals by just one simple move!

If you adopt a pet..
..you will not only save one life!

You are contributing to reducing the number of euthanized animals by adopting a pet instead of buying one.
The moment you adopt a pet you help 2 animals in one move: you are giving a loving animal a home, making it part of your family and at the same time creating space in the shelter for another animal.

..you will get a great animal!

Most animals ending up in shelters due to a human problem such as a move or divorce, even though the animal didn’t do anything wrong. You can get an already house-trained animal which is used to a family life. Introducing a mature pet to your family will be easier and at the same time gives the older animals a second chance.

..you will save money!

By adopting a pet, costs of first vaccinations, spay/neuter and microchipping are mostly included in the low adoption price. Additional expenses such as special training can become inapplicable depending on the animal.

..you will help more than just one animal!

By adopting an animal, you are not only giving others a second chance and a spot in the shelter but also contribute in their well-being with your adoption costs.

..you will help break the cycle of pet overpopulation!

There are not enough homes for all the animals that are born every year. Adopting from a shelter helps weaken the pet overpopulation cycle. Each year 8 to 12 million dogs, cats, puppies and kittens are euthanized because there are simply not enough homes for them.

..you will change a homeless animal's whole world!

And get a new best friend out of the deal. Honestly, what could be better than that?

Adopt, don't shop!
